on my career

Work has been pretty slow around the office. Everyone has been hanging on to billable work, leaving me spending my time 'researching' social media and current events.

So, it comes as no surprise that my contract is not going to be renewed. After next Friday I will join the ranks of millions of other unemployed Americans, praying and waiting to see what God has up His sleeve.

oh, I'm so sorry to hear that! Does this mean you'll be leaving the area? I'll be keeping your situation in my prayers :)

"praying and waiting"...not always the first things that come to our minds. God has pretty big sleeves. I'm excited to see what He presents you with. You're awesome Matthew Turkish!

Oh no! This could be seen as a bad thing, but perhaps God has something even better in mind for you! Wouldn't that be cool. I hope you decide to hang around Seattle at least :)

I've been keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, Matt. Who knows what possibilities may come along! I just read the story about Elijah who was getting fed by ravens and getting water from a brook, but then the brook dried up. He was sort of forced to leave his cave, or whatever it was, but then he got to experience the miracle with the widow, Mount Carmel, etc. I am sure God has a lot in store for you!
